In questi giorni sto approfittando delle belle giornate autunnali per fare qualche macro al sorgere del sole. La Mirabilis jalapa è una pianta molto comune nel mio terreno, i suoi fiori sono di un rosa molto acceso e hanno abitudini notturne, si aprono al tramonto e si richiudono al mattino. Il loro nettare attira anche numerose falene, tra cui la Agrius convolvuli e la Hyles euphorbiae. Solitamente ad ottobre i fiori appassiscono, lasciando al loro posto i semi di colore scuro. Quest'anno a causa del clima autunnale più caldo alcuni fiori sopravvivono e siccome di mattina presto il terreno è molto umido e pieno di rugiada, al sorgere del sole rimangono ancora aperti. Ieri mattina stavo fotografando questo rametto con un solo fiore aperto, gli altri erano appassiti e avevano i semi, c'erano ancora le gocce di rugiada e il sole stava appena spuntando. Proprio in quel momento un Episyrphus balteatus si è posato per raccogliere il nettare. Ho fatto giusto in tempo a cambiare le impostazioni e fare qualche scatto.
