All'inizio della mia carriera fotografica sognavo di riprendere soggetti rari ed elusivi! Certi obiettivi 13 anni fa sembravano così lontani ed irraggiungibili. Il Gufo reale era tra questi, ma non lo avevo mai visto o sentito nonostante la sua presenza in trentino fosse segnalata! 6 anni fa, in una notte alla ricerca dell'allocco, il suo canto riaccende in me il sogno di rivedere il re degli strigiformi. Moltissime le uscite a vuoto e le notti trascorse nella sua ricerca, tutto però senza risultati. Gli anni passano e un giorno per caso, passando in macchina, lo scorgo in cima ad un albero a bordo strada, mi fermo immediatamente, scendo dalla macchina e lo vedo volare via, sembrava un lenzuolo arancione che planava! Quel giorno in me un'idea si concretizzò, la possibilità di fotografare quel fantasma della notte!!! Quest'anno con grande emozione posso presentarvi questa meraviglia della natura...il GUFO REALE!!!
