Monticelli d'Ongina 5 Novembre 2022 - Un tempo il giorno di San Martino (11 novembre) segnava la fine dell'anno agrario e quindi il contratto di lavoro, che era annuale e che poteva essere rinnovato oppure no. Per il contadino al quale non veniva rinnovato, significava perdere non solo il lavoro, ma anche la casa. In questo giorno avvenivano quindi i traslochi e spesso s'incrociavano le famiglie che andavano e quelle che tornavano: le stesse scene si ripetevano di cascina in cascina. Sul carro venivano poste le poche proprietà: i mobili, le scorte di viveri, il legname, le gabbie di polli, il maiale e i bambini e i vecchi.
