Opera di Giovan Battista Gaulli (1639-1709) detto il Baciccio che impiegò cinque anni, dal 1674 al 1679 per realizzare questo capolavoro: "la Gloria del Nome di Gesù" che affresca la volta della chiesa del Gesù a Roma. Anche qui, come in ogni volta barocca, il titolo ha qualcosa a che vedere con il centro dell'affresco. Il punto di partenza è il monogramma IHS (Gesù in greco antico) da cui la luce inonda le scene dell'affresco. Quest'ultimo vuole rappresentare il passo di San Paolo: “nel nome di Gesù ogni ginocchio si pieghi in cielo in terra e sottoterra e ogni lingua proclami che Gesù è il Signore” (Fil 2,10). Ed, infatti, il Baciccio questo rappresenta chiamando sul palcoscenico santi e laici perché nessuno manchi nel cantare la gloria di Cristo.
