Con il finire dell'estate arriva il vento e la pioggia ma non rinuncio alle mie esplorazioni notturne. Di notte c'è molta umidità e incontro sempre tante chiocciole e lumache che lentamente esplorano il terreno in cerca di cibo. La scorsa settimana mentre camminavo in mezzo all'erba ho incontrato queste due Eobania vermiculata in accoppiamento. L'accoppiamento di queste chiocciole è molto lento, dura dal tramonto fino alla mattina dopo e rimangono attaccate per tutto il tempo con una sostanza gelatinosa bianca. Dopo aver covato le uova per 20 giorni, scavano un buco nel terreno per deporle, il loro numero varia da 50 a 80 e sono di colore bianco. Le piccole chiocciole nascono dopo altri 20 giorni, hanno già la conchiglia e se trovano cibo sufficiente crescono molto velocemente
