Apennine wolf sent on August 17, 2022 (10:07) by Claudio Cortesi. 53 comments, 1886 views. [retina]

at 600mm, 1/1000 f/9.0, ISO 1250, hand held. Specie: Canis lupus

Meglio in hd. #wild #AttimiDiLuce #Estate #Summer #Momenti

Luigi

What a magnificent meeting! The spread of the wolf is great news for me. They have been reported on various occasions a short distance from my home (I live in a town in the Belluno Dolomites). Unfortunately there have been some episodes of predation of flocks, here and on the Alpago, which have created an exaggerated alarm for their presence, emphasized by the local media.

very good and lucky Claudio .... excellent triple capture ..... I think it will be difficult their exponential increase as for example in Val d'Ossola and not only they are already meeting for the possible felling: they represent, as in the past, a serious threat to pastoralism that today compared to a time is very developed on our foothill and mountain territory
hello Gianfranco

Hello Gianfranco. Although the threat of hunting and poisoned bites returns to emerge, legislation continues to protect the wolf and its predatory habits have freed themselves from training. Let's hope so.
Thanks for the passage to you too Fabrizio. :-)
