Era una calda serata di mezz'estate, le fatiche del lavoro si facevano sentire, ma a sfogarmi nella quiete della natura ci dovevo andare, ci dovevo andare per mantenere quella costanza che viene sempre ripagata. E allora un boccone veloce e poi via verso il mio posto. Porto con me anche il capanno mimetico ed il treppiede, l'idea è di fotografare un Martin pescatore. Mi dirigo verso il fiume, nella zona dove il giorno prima avevo preparato dei rami a sbalzo sull'acqua, così che il Martin potesse trovarli attraenti e venire a pescare. Arrivato intravedo un lodolaio, che si prepara a cacciare insetti. Mi posiziono e mi chiudo nell'oscurità del capanno, l'attesa ha inizio. Passano i minuti, ma con questo caldo gli animali tardano a farsi vedere, finché arriva una garzetta che, anche se lontana da me, da spettacolo saltellando in acqua in cerca di pesciolini da mangiare. Poco dopo, in lontananza, un capriolo scende l'argine e si dirige verso l'acqua scomparendo dietro ai cespugli. Nel frattempo inizio a sentire il verso del Martin, ma di avvicinarsi non ci pensa proprio. Allora rivolgo il mio sguardo verso un airone cenerino, che adagiato su una pietra si pulisce il piumaggio. Anche lui sembra svogliato per tutto questo caldo, ma dopo qualche minuto vedo che alza la testa, come sospettoso di qualcosa ed ecco che... boom, una sagoma inaspettata ma inconfondibile appare nel mirino della macchina fotografica.... È un lupo, un bel maschio che con tranquillità attraversa l'acqua, ignaro della mia presenza. Dopo aver scambiato uno sguardo col predatore, l'airone si allontana, mantenendo una distanza più sicura. Arrivato a metà del guado, il lupo si accorge di essere osservato ed avanza guardando verso di me cercando di capire chi lo stia spiando. Dopo essersi fermato qualche secondo riparte e questa volta si allontana nella boscaglia. Quanta emozione e soddisfazione, ormai sono più di due mesi che cerco di fare appostamento almeno una volta al giorno, nel poco tempo a disposizione, ma come dicevo, la costanza viene ripagata! Aspetto ancora un po', fatico ad allontanarmi da quel posto, in cui tutto sembra essere lì, come in una scenografia perfetta! Ad una certa ormai la luce inizia ad affievolirsi, ed è quindi l'ora di tornare a casa. Parto con l'auto e appena c'è il segnale alzo il volume della radio, e incredibilmente sta passando questa canzone ( https://youtu.be/Y66j_BUCBMY ) nell' esatto momento in cui dice "don't wake me up", e quindi no, non svegliatemi da questo "sogno" così intenso! Da quando ho iniziato a guardare la natura con un occhio diverso, apprezzo ogni piccolo avvistamento, ed è quindi difficile non essere felici ogni giorno!
