Una camminata nell'Oasi, pace e silenzio interrotto dal canto degli uccelli ammirando tutta la natura che ti avvolge. Dal Centro visite della Riserva naturale parte il Sentiero natura che raggiunge i tre capanni di osservazione. L'area è attrezzata con camminamenti a palafitta e la passeggiata è piacevole e interessante, ma se si vuole cogliere in pieno la bellezza del Lago, la Riserva naturale propone diverse possibilità di escursione sull'acqua, in battello per gruppi, in barchino o in canoe per singoli visitatori. Una breve presentazione dell'oasi LIPU Massaciuccoli: visitabile tutto l'anno, ma è in marzo e aprile che il Lago riserva gli spettacoli più allettanti: numerose Anatre in viaggio verso Nord si uniscono a una moltitudine di Trampolieri come Totano, Pettegola, Piro Piro, Combattente mentre nel folto del canneto risuona il canto del Tarabuso, un raro Airone di cui il Lago vanta la popolazione più importante d'Italia. Poi ancora Avocetta, Mignattaio, Volpoca e i Mignattino comune, Piombato e Alibianche che a centinaia sorvolano le acque. La primavera è anche il periodo migliore per ammirare gli spettacolari tuffi del Falco pescatore e le piccole colonie del più elegante trampoliere, il Cavaliere d'Italia. In settembre e ottobre il ciclo termina con la grande migrazione autunnale.
