San Miniato al Monte, Firenze ... gennaio 2022 ... Capolavoro e vertice assoluto del romanico fiorentino, edificata tra l'XI ed il XII secolo sopra uno dei colli più elevati tra quelli che cinturano la città, la basilica abbaziale di San Miniato al Monte è senza dubbio la più celebre tra le badie benedettine, ben cinque!, sorte nel tempo a Firenze e dintorni. La sublime facciata della basilica, con le sue geometrie scandite da bicromi intarsi di marmo bianco e serpentino verde di Prato, è visibile da molti punti della piana cittadina: se si passeggia sui lungarni, specie al tramonto o nel primo crepuscolo, uno sguardo ammirato alla bella San Miniato è d'obbligo per ogni fiorentino che si rispetti! ...
