Nadia … la trombetta (ancora funzionante!), in teoria, non c'entra affatto con questi attrezzi: era un avvisatore acustico, risalente agli anni '30, in dotazione al nonno, caposquadra delle ferrovie, che gli serviva per lanciare un segnale di attenzione (all'approssimarsi di un treno, ecc.) per richiamare l'attenzione dei suoi cantonieri al lavoro sui binari. Mio nonno e mio padre la utilizzavano, capovolta, come candelabro di fortuna per farsi luce negli angoli reconditi, quando dovevano fare piccoli lavoretti al buio con la corrente elettrica staccata
