A Castel di Tusa, sul litorale tirrenico della provincia di Messina, l'Atelier sul Mare ha dato vita ad un rivoluzionario concetto di fruizione dell'arte. Qui alberga l'utopia, quella dell'arte pura e irripetibile, dove cultura, arte e paesaggio si fondono per far vivere all'ospite un'esperienza indimenticabile. Antonio Presti, artista mecenate, realizzatore di sogni irrealizzabili, ha rivoluzionato il concetto dell'ordinaria camera d'albergo. La camera diventa spazio museale, opera d'arte, esperienza spirituale, proiezione verso un'altra dimensione. L'ospite non è spettatore ma diventa parte integrante dell'opera, elemento vivo che con la sua presenza dà vita e respiro alla stanza diventandone il completamento. Le stanze del museo-albergo Atelier sul mare sono state consegnate in mano ad artisti internazionali che le hanno trasformate in opere d'arte. ("Note" tratte dal depliant dell'Hotel). Questa immagine è un particolare della stanza "Su barca di carta m'imbarco": Un affascinante viaggio, creato da Maria Lai (artista di origine sarda), che dalle profondità degli abissi conduce verso l'infinito dello spazio cosmico. Nella profondità del blu-nero delle pareti spiccano sciami di stelle e un sole creato da un groviglio di fili metallici, che è luce ma anche principio, caos da cui è nata la materia. L'illuminazione molto studiata e i colori intensi contribuiscono a creare un'atmosfera sospesa tra mare e terra, tra luce e ombra. Le particolari condizioni di luce, senza treppiede, mi hanno costretto a tempi-diaframmi-iso quasi al limite delle capacità mie e della "povera" D7100.
