Pregando a modo mio e sperando in bene.

you have all my solidarity and sorrow for what happened to you... you are left with the satisfaction that you have made a good initial choice and that all in all you have limited the damage; I wonder: would a modern mirrorless have endured all this? remember to light a candle and good we

Thanks Benny and
Giuseppesorridentemente: we are all alive, the machines and also the undersigned, with that little bit of ailments that derive from doing things without sparing oneself and from a lot of age, none of the subjects (cameras of course included) is really very young but "let's keep bang" with sufficient determination
... soon we start shooting again, the break of off-road races is a few weeks ;-)
a cordial greeting

Once I photographed the waves of a storm as I often do with my feet in the water and a premonition suggested me to put at least one plastic bag held with the elastic, I do it very rarely, that time he saved my equipment, the usual anomalous wave came that hit the car in full and I saved myself, the car however was a tank the 5DMarkII and 24/105 f.4 stuff that still works after a thousand battles my new R6 would have died a thousand times, however Alessandro congratulations to you and your equipment and wishes for everything in life it also takes luck, sometimes it sinks for a while, greetings giuseppe

The photo is a blow to the heart... the epilogue, on the other hand, seems to me the good ending that you do not expect. :-)
Congratulations on your tenacity. Who lasts it wins 8-)

Ah!!! Here it is! It has to be you! Alessandro Billiani! the one that gives the certification stamps that the machine of this brand or the lens of that other brand are perfectly tropicalized....... I guess they'll pay you well :-P

Eilà, Merak.dubhe
I'll answer you here also for the other two comments you left ;-)
In fact you got us 8-) I'm getting almost rich testing materials and you commented on two other photos in the rain (but there I hadn't miserably slipped in the mud like this time)
Joking aside, I continue even today after some time from that misadventure, with somewhat dated equipment (Canon 1DX) both because I'm stingy, but very much because operating very often in unfavorable weather conditions I found it so reliable as to advise against expensive updates. Basically these two as long as they work, well, I continue to use them ;-)
A cordial greeting

It happened to me too, but not on the mud, but on slimy grass, only that I had the strength to keep the equipment up, I got dirty... but my 1DMK4 remained clean..

Honestly, at the sight of these muddy cars, I would have almost started crying, but... How do you clean them? In a video on YouTube I saw someone washing it under running water, reflex and lens, but is it possible to do it or is it absolutely worth avoiding it?

@ Gropius 22

Among the cleaning tools in the first answer I had forgotten the very useful toothbrush that I had reported in the older answers. When a rare disaster like this happens, every possible and consistent means is used ;-)
