La Lancia Fulvia... che nella sua fascia di mercato andò a sostiture la Lancia Appia... venne costruita dal 1963 al 1976 nelle versioni Berlina a 4 porte, Coupé e Coupè Sport Zagato. La produzione della Berlina a 4 porte terminerà nel 1972 dopo aver ricevuto diversi aggiornamenti e migliorie. Dopo la 1° versione denominata 1C nel 1963... riconoscibile per i rostri sui paraurti... nel 1964 vide la luce la versione 2C... questa nella fotografia... che continuava ad avere lo stesso motore V4 di 1091 cm3 che però era stato potenziato da 58 a 71 cavalli così che la velocità massima era passata da 138 a 145 chilometri orari circa. Esistono diverse Fulvia Berlina a 4 porte con la motorizzazione della C2 che però presentano allestimenti che la rendono simile alla C1: sono vetture costruite nel periodo di transizione fra i due modelli. Nel 1967 alla 2C fu affiancata la versione GT con il motore di 1216 cm3 della versione Coupé... che poi qualche mese dopo diventò di 1231 cm3... e che erogando 80 cavalli era capace di spingere la vettura oltre i 150 chilometri orari. La Fulvia, in versione Berlina, aveva sempre avuto di serie il cambio marce di velocità al volante ma dalla versione GT in avanti si poteva averlo anche sul pavimento (cambio a cloche)... come optional... che poi... dopo il restilyng del 1969 diventò di serie. Nel 1972 verrà presentata la Lancia Beta Berlina che... nella produzione della casa milanese... andrà a sostituire la Lancia Fulvia Berlina a 4 porte...
