Museo Archeologico Romano Unico esemplare quasi interamente conservato. La statua è una replica fedele di una delle opere più ammirate dell'antichità: il discobolo in bronzo dello scultore Mirone (450 a.C.). Colto nell'attimo che precede il lancio del disco, l'atleta invade con un'azione complessa lo spazio circostante esemplificando la sperimentazione di nuovi canoni nella rappresentazione plastica del corpo umano in movimento. Metà circa del II secolo d.C.
