Questo ritratto è parte di una serie che ho immaginato lo scorso inverno in tempo di restrizioni, le restrizioni poi sono state progressivamente allentate ma per una serie di ragioni mi è riuscito di andare in studio soltanto a luglio.
Non ho voluto lasciare nulla al caso, dunque mi sono occupato personalmente della scelta dell'abito, della produzione del fondale, degli accessori - il libro è una raccolta di preghiere cantate dei primi del '900 e la collana è un gioiello della metà degli anni '60, tutte cose di famiglia -, dell'illuminazione e infine, ma non meno importante, della scelta della modella.
L'effetto è volutamente pittorico, cioè l'intento è creare ritratti che con il passare degli tempo non invecchino malamente e che possano risultare gradevoli alla vista anche dopo diversi anni.
La modella è molto brava.
La produzione dei fondali è un'attività che ho scoperto piacermi molto.
Ho usato il treppiede. Uso quasi sempre il treppiede, il treppiede è una mia mania. Lo trovo molto comodo, ho iniziato a usarlo - inutilmente, tra l'altro - tentando di rimediare a fastidiosissimi problemi di micromosso con la precedente attrezzatura e oggi continuo a usarlo in quasi ogni occasione.
