C'è il ritornello della canzone “Pe' lungotevere” cantata in romanesco dalla grande Gabriella Ferri che recita così: Lì sotto l'arberi de Lungotevere le coppie fileno, li baci scrocchieno... si nun sei pratico de regge moccoli pè Lungotevere nun ce passà! Una visione sicuramente romantica ispirata dalla magia del Tevere. Purtroppo nel corso degli anni questa magia si è affievolita, ma rimane sempre la bellezza che il Tevere offre ogni giorno a tutti quelli che lo guardano con passione. Certo, si potrebbe fare di più per riportarlo ai fasti de 'na volta, ma direi che anche così non è niente male. Mi ritornano in mente i film romani degli anni '50-'60 quando farsi il bagno nelle acque del fiume era di uso comune. I bar, i ristoranti, le balere erano frequentati da gente che pensava a divertirsi, ma purtroppo quelli passati erano altri tempi e ci rimangono solo ricordi in bianco e nero. Eppure la magia non è finita: tutte le volte che ci passo, soprattutto in questo tratto di lungotevere con lo sfondo di San Pietro, ci ritrovo le mie emozioni, i miei ricordi, le mie passeggiate giovanili con la testa piena di sogni. Risento il calore di una mano che stringeva la mia e la speranza dell'avverarsi di un sogno: fare il giornalista. Sono stata fortunata, ho realizzato i miei sogni: per tantissimi anni,tutte le strade del mondo sono state la mia casa.
