Leggendo i commenti precedenti rimango un po' spiazzato,trovandomi in condizione analoga non credo sarei riuscito ad ottenere uguale risultato.
Secondo me hai fatto un mezzo azzardo e sei stato premiato, grande tecnica.
Non facile scattare a 500mm con tempo di 1/250 s
riuscendo a contenere gli iso e tirare fuori un dettaglio così.
