questo monastero è stato fondato e costruito dal 1052 - è posto su uno sperone naturale e domina la piana dello Zanskar e su tutte le più alte montagne circostanti (con il Nun-Kun alto 7.130 m) in posizione isolata rispetto al villaggio di Padum, distante 18 km ospita circa 60 monaci- una posizione invidiabile che invita a trascorrere del tempo in meditazione e rilassamento -
