la città di Bergen fu fondata nel 1.070 e fu sempre interessata da scambi commerciali- da qui nasce il quartiere Bryggen risalente al secolo XIV - si costituì la lega anseatica propria degli scambi commerciali- è costituita da circa 280 case rigorosamente in legno affacciate sulla baia di Vagen - dopo un incendio che devastò tale quartiere fu ricostruito nel 1.702 - è ora uno dei simboli della Norvegia -
