Tante volte mi ha fregato, ma tante altre mi ha regalato emozioni uniche. In questa circostanza decisi di trascorrere la notte fuori. Inizialmente in compagnia, altri appassionati si erano riuniti con la mia stessa speranza. Ma l'Etna si sa, decide con la sua testa. Le ore trascorrevano, niente da fare...calma piatta, tant'è che ad una certa ora mi ritrovai solo perché tutti gli 'avventori' se n'erano tornati a casa. Una nottata bellissima con la Luna, per cui trovato un angolino meno esposto mi piazzai per la notte. Verso le 2:30 del mattino il mio leggero sonno viene interrotto dal rumore delle scorie che cominciavano a rotolare giù dai fianchi del Sud-Est. Davo le spalle al vulcano e quando mi girai vedere l'Etna che si stava preparando per l'ennesimo spettacolo pirotecnico mi emozionò tantissimo. Ero già lì, riposato, piazzato in un ottimo punto di osservazione. Non dovevo fare altro che godermi lo spettacolo e spettacolo fu!
