Renè Arnoux … nato il 4 luglio 1948 a Grenoble (F)… è stato un pilota attivo in Formula 1 negli anni dal 1978 al 1989 dove ha disputato 164 Gran Premi vincendone 7 e salendo sul podio 22 volte. Come tanti altri piloti iniziò a gareggiare giovanissimo sui kart per poi approdare alla Formula Renault e nel 1974 in Formula 2 dove nel 1977 vinse il Campionato. Disputò poi diverse gare in altri Campionati e partecipò 3 volte alla 24 Ore di Le Mans. Ritiratosi dalle gare è diventato un commentatore in programmi televisivi sul motorismo. Questa fotografia fu scattata nel 1987... quando gareggiava in Formula 1 alla guida di una Ligier JS 29 dotata di un motore Megatron di 1499 cm3 turbocompresso... utilizzando una fotocamera Canon F1 New dotata di un'obiettivo Canon FD 80-200 f 4 e pellicola Kodacolor 100 ASA.
