Eccoci arrivati alla meta della nostra escursione nella quarta parte del racconto: la cima del Monte Penna, un grande sperone di roccia su cui è ben ancorata una piccola cappella che caratterizza questo luogo. Una scritta posta sulla facciata di questo edificio religioso ci dice l'altitudine del posto dove ci troviamo: 1283 metri. Forse abbiamo deciso di arrivare fin quassù per caso, una passeggiata anziché un'altra. Ora che vi siamo giunti capiamo cos'è La Penna: un luogo per godersi un panorama mozzafiato, un luogo per entrare in contatto con una rilassante natura che in certi momenti sembra fortemente intrisa di creatività divina, un luogo per un momento di serena riflessione, un luogo per pregare.
