fa parte della famiglia dei Nudibranchi che sta a significare organismi con le branchie nude in quanto tutte le specie hanno abbandonato la conchiglia. La "Dendrodoris Limbata" vive in un fondale che varia dai 5 metri ai 50 metri. Sul capo hanno sede i recettori sensoriali mentre la bocca, sotto, è una radola per raschiare. Si nutre prevalentemente di spugne che trovano nei fondali rocciosi e la sua lunghezza arriva fino ad un massimo di 10 cm. La colorazione, forte, è un chiaro segnale di avviso per i predatori che sta a significare una forte carica urticante. (foto repertorio - Mar Adriatico - Trieste)
