Le spugne marine sono animali appartenenti al gruppo dei Poriferi (Phylum Porifera) nome che deriva dal latino porus e ferre e che significa “portatori di pori”. In pratica è un filtratore naturale dei nostri mari. Vive da pochi metri a profondità abissali e le loro forme variano.
