La chiesa parrocchiale di Colonnata è del XVI secolo dedicata a San Bartolomeo: all'interno nel suo arredo marmoreo spiccano l'altare maggiore in marmo bianco, gli altari laterali in marmi policromi e il rilievo marmoreo raffigurante l'Assunzione in cielo di Maria tra i Santi; conserva anche nel coro i frammenti di un'ancona d'altare con i santi Andrea, Bartolomeo e Pietro e un bel crocifisso in marmo del seicento attribuito ad un allievo di Michelangelo Buonarroti. Nella piazzetta della chiesa si può ammirare il monumento al cavatore. Si tratta di opera in marmo bianco locale con un grande Cristo con lo sguardo e la faccia rivolta al cielo e con alcuni altorilievi con cavatori all'opera sulle montagne. Lo sfondo dell'opera sono le Alpi Apuane con le cave del marmo bianco a vista. .....
