Quattro paesi rimasero completamente distrutti: Gibellina, Poggioreale, Salaparuta, Montevago.

Hi Dylan, the earthquake in 1968, poor people, made a great disaster. A click that makes you think of the thousand tribulations that have suffered those who lived in this place. In this image the blue sky puts hope. Very good
Ciao, good night, good weekend

Fantastic shot, I recently saw a documentary about Poggioreale in a serial service where they show the very places now abandoned due to earthquakes or landslides. I immediately recognized the place and what if I am not mistaken was to be the main square, I also remember a beautiful theater and a church with beautiful columns at the entrance. In the service they also showed the new Poggioreale built a few kilometers away. Congratulations on the shot and the document, I really like it. A dear greeting and happy weekend Antonio.

A sad and still current Italian story, due to the mistakes of speculation prolonged over time and dealt with only in part, in this tragedy the locals suffered first the devastation of a catastrophic earthquake and
then the lack of an adequate response from the state.
Great photo/document, congratulations Dylan
Ciao, Livio

Thank you all for having dedicated a thought to those who in that tragic event, like alas so many in our country, have lost a home, affections and loved ones above all. Greetings to:
Ciriaco ... in agreement with you
Antonio ... did not see the documentary but I also saw the church and the theater and it makes a certain impression
Claudio ... thank you
Stefano ... thanks
Philip ... thanks
Fiorenzo ... already :-(
Livio ... agree with your thoughts
... Have a nice weekend.
