L'Alfa romeo 6C 1750 venne prodotta in diverse versioni e varianti dal 1929 al 1933: alcune furono preparate dalle Carrozzerie Zagato e Touring site in Milano. La vettura era dotata di un motore con 6 cilindri in linea di 1752 cm3 che erogava differenti potenze in base al tipo di elaborazione. Codeste andavano dai 46 cavalli della Versione Berlina ai 102 delle Versioni Sportive più spinte e dotate di compressore volumetrico Roots che oltrepassavano i 165 chilometri orari di velocità massima. Negli anni in cui questa vettura gareggiava nelle competizioni su strada capitava pure di dover affrontare insidiosi percorsi durante le ore notturne... questo perché in quell'epoca l'illuminazione sulle strade era veramente carente... se non completamente assente. Per avere una buona illuminazione... in base alle conoscenze tecniche dell'epoca... le vetture venivano dotate di fari anteriori con parabole alquanto grandi che però spesso creavano disagio all'equipaggio perché andavano a compromettere l'aerodinamica del mezzo e così... per recuperare un po' di codesta… durante le ore diurne... si iniziò a dotare questi enormi fanali anteriori di una copertura aerodinamica semisferica che... essendo removibile... veniva poi tolta durante la notte. Sulle Alfa Romeo per codeste coperture di materiale "quasi" plastico... si pensò di adottare il colore rosso... proprio come si vede nella fotografia qui pubblicata.
