Caro Stefano é proprio vero quello che dici....
Nella cultura indiana, così come in altre, spesso vi sono aspetti che ci lasciano interdetti. In India ad esempio é per noi assurdo che le mucche, considerate sacre, non costituiscano fonte di nutrimento in contesti nei quali i bimbi appaiono denutriti, così come ci appare insensato che queste povere persone si tolgano il cibo di bocca per porgere offerte alle divinità (...persino incarnate...nei topi). Ma, nel mio fortunato viaggiare, ho imparato che quando si approccia una cultura diversa dalla nostra, se si vuole realmente entrare in contatto con essa, bisogna abbandonare gli schematismi mentali che ci appartengono e, rispettando usanze, tradizioni e consuetudini, fare tesoro di questa diversità accogliendola con un atteggiamento di umiltà. Così facendo, posso dire che ogni mio viaggio é stato occasione di crescita e arricchimento personale....credo molto alle parole di Steinbeck che ho adottato come "firma"
