I Rabari sono tribù seminomadi che si spostano tra Gujarat e Rajasthan con il loro bestiame. Durante la stagione secca si spostano alla ricerca di acqua e vegetazione, mentre con l'arrivo dei monsoni ritornano ai loro villaggi nativi. È una comunità pastorale che alleva pecore, capre, bufale o cammelli e vive principalmente grazie alla vendita di latte e burro. Mentre donne e bambini organizzano il campo, gli uomini pascolano il bestiame tutto il giorno. I Rabari sono persone molto ospitali e ho trascorso giorni meravigliosi con le loro tribù dove sono andato a controllare i cammelli con Kangi. Kangi è stato molto gentile con me e voleva che assaggiassi il latte di cammello appena munto .. E' stato molto difficile convincerlo che non potevo berlo!
