Ci lasciamo alle spalle Luderitz, nel sud della Namibia, per entrare nel deserto e risalirlo fino a Walvis Bay, il principale porto del paese. La scarsissima vegetazione del semideserto si fa sempre più rarefatta. Davanti a noi si presenta uno spettacolo di incomparabile bellezza, il deserto del Namib, il più antico del mondo. Una paletta incredibile di colori. Sabbie rosse e arancio, sabbie bianchissime e rocce scure, quasi nere. Poi saranno dune e dune, in parallelo con l'oceano, fino a raggiungere e superare il confine con l'Angola.
