Faro di Mangiabarche, fotografato ieri(24/02/13) aspettando una libecciata seria come non si vedono da anni, ieri qualche onda seria si poteva vedere ma purtroppo la luce non era ottimale. Mangiabarche comunque ha sempre un fascino irresistibile. E' un faro costruito nel 1935, prima alto sino alla cinta sopra la porticina, poi sopraelevato, sino al 1970 era alimentato a Gas con delle bombole, poi nel 2000 venne ristrutturato e furono montati dei pannelli solari. Purtroppo il restauro ha cancellato il suo apetto originario e più suggestivo che originariamente era a strisce bianche e nere, con un rivestimento di piccole mattonelline che oggi riappaiono a tratti nelle zone rovinate dalle intemperie.
