il torrente prende vita come emissario del lago di Tovel ma dopo poco più di un chilometro si perde nuovamente nella potente coltre detritica. L'acqua riemerge circa 2 chilometri più a valle, vicino al Rifugio Capriolo. Qui, a partire dal disgelo primaverile, si formano dei laghetti effimeri estremamente trasparenti che nel corso dell'estate vanno gradualmente scomparendo.
