LATERAN PACTS AND PHOTOGRAPHY sent on October 18, 2020 (11:19) by Maurizio Trifilidis. 58 comments, 1578 views.

, 1/6 f/8.0, ISO 64, tripod. Roma, Italy.

It's not blue now, but it's still very well crafted.
Saving the shot from Italy!!
This for your words.... I fully agree with Fabrizio Pocci and I will say no more.!

the shot is very nice Maurizio, otherwise I don't know what to tell you, it seems that a photographer with his easel, on some occasions, is the number 1 enemy. Look on the bright side, you managed to photograph a point of historical interest without yet the scooters thrown around to ruin their vision.

Therefore: not knowing, on the subject, the contractual rules governing Vatican-Italy relations, I cannot make a legal judgment. It happened more than once to me, during the end-of-year festivities, to be recalled for the use of the photo stand on the square both by the Vatican Gendarmerie and by the Italian Police to guard the square. Surely, when it is evident that the photographs are taken by amateurs, therefore not by professionals for commercial and profit purposes, it could be imposed on prohibitions and restrictions given that the shots would end up romantically on a hard drive among the memories to proudly show to friends and relatives. In any case, I intend to assess the problem from a strictly legal point of view.

Beautiful image Maurizio, I do not enter into comments on the church that, although I am a believer, I am refractory to the world of hypocrisy that surrounds it. Hello

Congratulations Maurizio,
for the image, however, very beautiful but what literally leaves me "grounded" is what you tell in the caption.
Something like this happened to me in Tiananmen Square in Beijing even though there, perhaps, it was for reasons of... Security.
I certainly never would have thought that in St. Peter's Square....... could fall like this.
Ciao, Paul

Thane to everyone for their comments and participation.
It is certain that this papal norm makes St. Peter's Square similar to Tiananmen Square in Beijing the issue becomes embarrassing, especially for the State Police who should apply it.

If it can comfort you, even if not in the blue hour, you have made a great shot, with beautiful composition and beautiful colors.
