, 1/500 f/8.0, ISO 100, hand held.

Beautiful image and interesting caption.
I know those Dolomite areas well and I always say that those men
of a hundred years ago (Italians and Austrians all included) had a "beastly" physique and an incredible inner strength to withstand three very harsh winters and to endure those burdensome conditions that entailed the terrible post war. Congratulations to you and your son.
Hello Loris, Sergio ;-) :-P

Knowing yourself, at that moment, you thought and lived, all the tragic moments of that absurd war. Then, relaxing the mind, your thoughts flew over the peaks of these wonderful mountains, accompanying them to the delicate sound of the wind and the scent of this lovely expanse..... and finally your soul has re-established the normal life of your disposition ...... Always very sensitive to all that this world gives us, and to the misfortunes that man creates ....., you can perceive them, with a unique emotional ,.... great and dear my friend ..... Salutone , hello soon, Fabrizio :-P ;-) :-P
