Piazza della Repubblica è la piazza principale di Foligno, si trova nel suo centro storico, il cuore e principale luogo di ritrovo e passeggio della città. Già denominata "Piazza Grande" in età comunale, ha forma rettangolare ed è contornata dalla facciata laterale del Duomo di S. Feliciano, patrono della città, dal Palazzo Comunale e dai principali palazzi storici quali Palazzo Trinci, Palazzo Orsini, quello delle canoniche ecc. La piazza, oltre che fulcro della vita cittadina, nel corso dell'anno è anche sede di numerosi eventi popolari, tra i quali, fra tutti, i riti propiziatori della famosa rievocazione storica seicentesca della “Giostra della Quintana”.
