Un meraviglioso incontro - quota circa 2200 metri s.l.m. - distanza soggetto circa 3 metri - Durante una camminata in cui mi affannavo a trovare fauna (stambecchi, pernici...) vedo da lontano questo piccolo mammifero muoversi fra i sassi. Faccio un bel po' di foto da lontano per documentare il momento. Ad un certo punto lui sparisce sotto un masso ed io inconsapevole di quale masso vado a vedere dove poteva essere andato; ma non vedendolo più e pensando di averlo perso per sempre mi metto a guardare le foto che avevo fatto. All'improvviso a 20 cm da me, sotto al masso a cui ero appoggiato, spunta per 1 secondo la testa dell'ermellino. Allora sorpasso il masso di circa 2,5/3 metri e mi accuccio dietro ad un'altro sasso. Ed è qui che vengo partecipe del momento più speciale di tutti: l'ermellino sbuca a circa 2,5/3 metri da me proprio dove puntavo. Rimane lì, "alzandosi" gradualmente, per 5,10,20 o 30 secondi, non lo so, però mi ricordo che in quel momento il mio respiro era affannoso da quanto agitato e felice ero! Un'incontro unico, durato magari 5 sec, pochissimo, ma questo è quello per cui fotografo. Questo tempo infinito e breve è stato e sarà sempre uno dei momenti più belli e importanti della mia vita. Poi dopo questo tempo interminabile me ne andai, lo so, magari avrei potuto aspettare che venisse fuori un'altra volta, magari di più col corpo, ma ho avuto rispetto di quanto questo animale ha fatto per me in quel momento, anche se involontariamente, e chissà quanto spaventato doveva essere..... - 100/300/500 persone camminavano in quel posto a quell'ora, 1 di queste ha vissuto un momento magico, le altre si sono limitate a camminare e parlare fra loro ignare di tutto. - Questa foto è dedicata a Francesco Sartori, mio migliore amico, per le cose che abbiamo fatto, che facciamo e faremo assieme.
