Tutte le foto sono coperte da copyright. Il Ghiacciaio Fellaria, o Vedretta di Fellaria, si trova nell' alta Valmalenco (SO) a monte del Lago di Gera e del Rifugio Bignami . Per raggiungere il lago, dal rifugio si prosegue seguendo il Sentiero Glaciologico Marson verso la lingua orientale del ghiacciaio. Il lago si trova in una conca morenica, appoggiato al ghiacciaio e ne raccoglie le acque di fusione. Giunti a destinazione la vista è a dir poco spettacolare, ma il ghiacciaio si sta sciogliendo inesorabilmente a causa del surriscaldamento globale e tra qualche anno, con tutta probabilità, questo porterà allo scioglimento definitivo. Enormi blocchi di ghiaccio si staccano continuamente dal Ghiacciaio Fellaria per galleggiare sul lago circostante formando dei piccoli iceberg. Ho voluto visitare questo luogo ed eccomi stranamente a camminare non in Valle d'Aosta!!!! Due giorni trascorsi nella spettacolare Valmalenco. C'erano veramente tanti escursionisti, più di quanti sono solita vederne !!!! Ho scattato qualche foto, già si vede la diversità tra i primi scatti e quelli fatti due ore dopo quando si è staccato un grosso blocco di ghiaccio che ha sollevato un'onda enorme e riempito il lago di piccoli e medi iceberg. Mi ha colto un senso di tristezza perché so che tornando fra qualche anno (o anche solo in prossimo anno) lo scenario apparirà molto diverso e forse irriconoscibile.
