Minois dryas (Scopoli, 1763) - Famiglia: Nymphalidae – Sottofamiglia: Satyrinae - Apertura alare: Da 5 a 6 cm. - Distribuzione in Italia: Presente solo nelle regioni settentrionali fino al nord della Toscana. - Habitat: Margini dei boschi e ampie radure dalla pianura a 1000 m. - Periodo di volo: Univoltina da luglio ad agosto. - Pianta alimentare dei bruchi: Varie graminacee tra cui quelle dei generi Poa, Arrhenatherum, Molinia e Bromus. - Dimorfismo sessuale: La femmina è di dimensioni maggiori rispetto al maschio, con colorazione di fondo più chiara e ocelli più grandi. - Variazioni: Sia i maschi che le femmine presentano variazioni nel disegno del rovescio delle ali posteriori con bande chiare più o meno marcate. - Specie simili: Satyrus ferula e Satyrus actaea che presentano il bordo delle ali meno ondulato e gli ocelli con pupille bianche.
