Sometimes the success of a photo, and the consequent transmission of emotions to the viewer, depends a lot on the photographer's intuition for the p.d.r. and the effect sought. In this case both worked in unison to produce a sublime image that seems of simple realization, but it is not at all, especially for the chosen shooting time, which could have produced shapeless motion, and instead gave an image of great effect. Just applause.

Thank you very much, Augustus for the careful observation of the shot and for the considerations. Just for completeness of information, to be able to shoot I could not use the HSS of the flash for two reasons. The first is that even 1/8000 was too long a time to stop the sand and then for the insufficient power of the lightning in HSS, despite using 1 200W and a NG60. I opted, therefore, for a long exposure time, piloting the actual exposure light with the flash at 1/256 power, in order to get the correct exposure with a time actually less than 1/8000. The only thing I'm sorry about is that I didn't have enough flash power to close the diaphragm more.
Thank you from the heart, I'm very pleased with your words.
