E perchè mai?
Se quando sei in capanno il soggetto vola via passandoti vicino o addirittura sopra e tu hai tra le mani uno zoom mi pare logico ruotare la ghiera della focale all'indietro.
Il valore di una foto non è, fortunatamente, qualcosa che si presta a misurazioni quantitative, non è una gara a chi ce l'ha più lungo (l'obiettivo) o a chi scatta immagini prive di rumore ad iso altissimi o simili: la fotografia, secondo me, è una questione di contenuti.

And why not?
If when you're on the subject shed flies away passandoti near or even above and you have in your hands a zoom it seems logical to turn the back focal length.
The value of a picture is not, fortunately, something that lends itself to quantitative measurements, it is not a competition to see who's got the longest (the target) or who takes pictures without noise at high ISO or similar: photography In my opinion, it is a matter of content.
