La 500 C "Topolino" fu costruita dal 1949 al 1954 e rappresentò il 100° modello di vettura prodotto dalla Fiat. Dotata di trazione posteriore aveva il motore posto anteriormente che con i suoi 4 cilindri in linea di 569 cm3 sviluppava una potenza di 16,5 cavalli che portavano la vetturetta a raggiungere i 90 chilometri orari: il suo è il primo motore montato su una piccola vettura Fiat ad avere la testa in alluminio e non in ghisa. Rispetto alla sua progenitrice... la 500 B... sulla C divenne di serie la capote completamente reclinabile rendendola "Trasformabile" mentre l'avere il tetto in lamiera divenne un optional.
