Tra marmo e leoni Lo scalone d'onore è forse una delle opere più felici del Vanvitelli nella Reggia di Caserta. La prima sezione è una gradinata ricavata da un unico blocco di marmo. Ai lati primeggiano due sculture che ritraggono dei leoni. Essi simboleggiano la forza della ragione e delle armi, e vennero realizzati da Paolo Persico e Tommaso Solari. Successivamente lo scalone si divide in due blocchi che conducono all'ingresso delle stanze. Molto affascinanti le tre statue che dominano la scena. Queste trasmettono un preciso messaggio voluto dallo stesso Vanvitelli e portano la firma di Solari, Andrea Violani e Gaetano Salomone. L'intera opera è considerata un mix perfetto tra classicismo e tardo barocco, mentre il sistema di finestre consente di avere lo scalone ben illuminato gran parte della giornata. Ps: mi scuso per la qualità del file ma il mezzo a disposizione era uno smartphone che soffre tanto in condizioni di poca luce. Questa è una foto riesumata da un vecchio hd. Purtroppo ci sarebbe voluto un bel grandangolo ma come dicevo poco fa, il mezzo era di fortuna. Consigli sempre bene accetti. Grazie in anticipo a chi vorrà intervenire!
