Freischütz a Maia Alta, apre finalmente al pubblico dopo diversi anni di preparazione. La Fondazione Navarini-Ugarte invita quindi a all'interno della villa sono palpabili la passione collezionistica di una famiglia cosmopolita e dal temperamento artistico, nonché la quotidianità nella prima metà del XX secolo. Nel 1922 il commerciante ispano-prussiano Franz Fromm si stabilì nell'edificio di via Priami 7 coi suoi figli. Oggetti d'uso quotidiano, registri contabili e una ricca collezione di lettere raccontano della vita a Merano, della società e dell'economia di allora. Nel corso di un secolo, molto si è accumulato e molto poco è cambiato. I visitatori troveranno tessuti peruviani, statuette lignee giapponesi, strumenti educativi storici, oggetti d'uso quotidiano del secolo scorso e numerose lettere. Si deve alla nipote di Franz Fromm, Rosamaria Navarini, che la ricca collezione si sia conservata fino ad oggi e che possa ora essere mostrata al pubblico. Ultima abitante della villa, Navarini ha disposto per via testamentaria che Villa Freischütz fosse trasformata in una casa museo.
