io avrei provato a fotografare solo il riflesso e poi avrei capovolto la foto,secondo me qualcosa di creativo ci esce fuori, e i due pali sospesi al contrario avrebbero la loro scena.
ovvio che anche così non stonano anzi,ogni tanto qualcosa fuori dal comune ci sta nelle interpretazioni,altrimenti si resta degli automi senza anima.

Grazie mille per i complimenti.
Ero già stato in quel posto nel 2011 ed avevo notato che Arona restava proprio davanti al lungolago e che c'erano anche alberi e panchine oltre ad un parco interessante. Mi ero fatto un appunto per tornare con le giuste condizioni meteo e ci sono riuscito.
Adesso aspetto, in primavera, le condizioni giuste per un'altro scatto ancora da quel posto.
Mi serve la giornata limpidissima ma con quelle nuvole lunghe e striate in cielo e mi serve che tutto ciò avvenga al mattino.
Sono esigente eh?

L'istinto di vedere la base dove appoggia un soggetto nella foto è giusto, in ogni composizione che si rispetti occorre lasciare un po' di piede sotto a case, persone e oggetti di qualsiasi tipo, e l'ombra o il riflesso degli elementi nella scena fanno parte della composizione.
Ovviamente ci sono le giuste eccezioni.
Onestamente non ricordo se il riflesso del palo sull'acqua continua fino alla fine oppure se c'è il bordo del lago che lo interrompe, è subito lì sotto, boh.
Prima o poi ci tornerò in quel posto e magari mi verrà in mente il tuo messaggio.

mi hai dato un'ottimo spunto, se il lago è molto fermo e c'è la possibilità di abbassarsi un po' si potrebbe comporre come dici tu, capovolgere la foto ed ottenere un bell'astratto che poi, se il lago è davvero fermo, lascerebbe intuire bene anche il paesaggio.

Thank you very much for the compliments.
I had been in that place in 2011 and I noticed that Arona was left in front of the lake and there were trees and benches as well as an interesting park. I had made a note to return with the right weather conditions and I did.
Now look in the spring, the right conditions for yet another shot from that place.
I need a very clear day long, but with those clouds streaked the sky and I need that everything is done in the morning.
They are demanding huh?

The instinct to see where the base supports a person in the picture is right, respecting each composition to allow for a little 'foot under houses, people and objects of any kind, and the shadow or reflection of the elementities in the scene are part of the composition.
Obviously there are exceptions to the right.
I honestly do not remember if the reflection of the pole on the water continues to the end or if there is the edge of the lake that stops it is immediately there under, boh.
Sooner or later we'll go back to that place and maybe I'll think of your message.

You gave me a very good starting point, if the lake is very firm and it is possible to drop a little 'you could compose as you say, flip the photo and get a bell'astratto then, if the lake is really still , well guess would leave the landscape.
