Che il nuovo anno Vi possa regalare nuove belle immagini e dodici mesi di buona luce. Buon 2020! Regensburg - Ratisbona era una città libera dell'Impero Romano e raccoglie in se una storia di due millenni. Una lapide attesta la data di fondazione della città come accampamento di una legione romana. Il centro storico offre innumerevoli monumenti, tra quelli di maggiore valore la Porta Praetoria, il Vecchio Ponte di pietra, Il Duomo gotico di San Pietro e la splendida chiesa di San Emmeramo Il centro storico di Ratisbona è entrato a far parte della Lista del Patrimonio Mondiale dell'UNESCO nel luglio 2006. La storia di Ratisbona ha inizio nel 179 d.C quando l'imperatore Marco Aurelio fondò, alla confluenza del fiume Regen con il Danubio, l'accampamento fortificato di Castra Regina. Divenuta prima capitale della Baviera all'inizio del VI secolo, nel corso dei secoli ottenne il titolo di “libera città imperiale”. Tra i tesori della città spicca sicuramente il Duomo di St. Peter. Iniziato nel 1254, venne terminato nel corso del Cinquecento (anche se le due torri furono completate solo nel 1869, quando vennero portate ad un'altezza di 105 metri.) Nonostante le dimensioni relativamente modeste, è considerato un bellissimo esempio d'architettura gotica tedesca. Presenta delle pregevolissime vetrate. Il Ponte di Pietra (Steinerne Brücke) occupa una posizione singolare nell'architettura occidentale, venne costruito tra 1135 e 1146 ed era, all'epoca, il primo passaggio sul Danubio con una lunghezza di 310 metri. Fu distrutto il 23.04.1945. In questa bella cittá negli anni settanta Papa Benedetto XVI fu professore universitario. Delle sue capacitá nel campo teologico e di Papa della Chiesa Cattolica (l'ultimo grande Papa), non ci sono dubbi. A lui dedico questo scatto. Qui ho avuto la fortuna di incontrare lui (durante la sua visita pastorale del 2006) e nel 2011 per caso anche suo fratello George. Lo scatto é stato effettuato durante l'ora blu lo scorso ottobre. Stavo lasciando Ratisbona col malincuore di non aver effettuato uno scatto notturno. Durante il tragitto per prendere la macchina ho adocchiato questo PDR, quindi ci sono ritornato in macchina.
