21.11.2015 Serengeti N.P. Stavamo per arrivare al nostro campo tenda a Lobo, nel nord del Serengeti N.P., la salita sul rilievo che sovrasta questa parte del parco era molto ripida e la nostra Jeep faceva un po' di fatica...quando ad un tratto vediamo una leonessa sopra un Kopie che dominava tutta la pianura del Lobo. Ci fermiamo per scattare qualche immagine ed osservare un ambiente paradisiaco. Riprendiamo dopo 10 minuti la strada per il nostro campo, erano ormai le 18.20. Dopo appena 30 metri, quanto basta per cambiare il nostro punto di vista, insieme alla leonessa ci troviamo di fronte anche un grosso maschio adulto. I leoni in amore si isolano per accoppiarsi più volte durante il giorno, da soli in tranquillità. Questa coppia ha scelto un luogo fiabesco per la loro luna di miele. Dalla loro posizione dominavano tutta la pianura di Lobo al tramonto, sembravano godersi il momento. Poi ad un tratto il maschio si alzò e si avvicinò alla femmina con l'intenzione di accoppiarsi, ma la leonessa non accettò le richieste del suo compagno. Il rifiuto della Regina fece irritare il Re che ristabilì subito la gerarchia, ma forse la vera vincitrice di quella sera (e non solo) fu la Leonessa. Questo scatto, seppur di qualità non eccellente, ricorda una storia a cui sono molto affezionato. Ho cercato di migliorare lo sviluppo al massimo delle mie capacità, ma il file di partenza e le condizioni di scatto non potevano garantire un risultato eccellente (purtroppo).
