Suppongo si riferisse a come si irradia, (in modo quasi circolare verso lo spettatore), la sensazione è che la provenienza dei raggi sia nella stessa direzione dove hai puntato la camera. Non so se eri quasi allo Zenith, (da quanto dici hai alzato il piano di ripresa), comunque in genere quando si scatta con un piano di ripresa più basso, tipo sull'orizzonte, si inquadra una parte dell'effetto, diciamo la parte finale del lato visibile, più "piatta" se vogliamo.
L'impressione che se ne ricava invece in questo caso è molto tridimensionale, tipo "salto a velocità di curvatura" della famosa "Enterprise" di Star Trek!
