Fotografato il 5 luglio 2013 nella laguna di Orbetello quando alcuni Ibis vi erano stati trasportati con un pulmino dall'Austria per fare opera di sensibilizzazione a livello locale. L'attivista che li aveva portati li aveva fatti uscire dal pulmino e loro volavano nei dintorni, non si sarebbero mai allontanati troppo dalla mamma adottiva e lei stava cambiando loro le batterie dei gps che avevano fissati sulla schiena e dava loro da mangiare. Poi dal 2014 al 2019 ci sono state sei migrazioni guidate con velivoli ultraleggeri coordinate dall'associazione Austriaca Waldrappteam (Waldrapp è il nome tedesco dell'Ibis eremita) nell'ambito del progetto Life+B. Quella del 2019 è stata la sesta e ultima migrazione guidata, dalla prossima primavera i 150 esemplari presenti in varie aree di svernamento europee saranno in grado di migrare autonomamente.
