Dopo l'esterno entriamo nella Basilica di sant'Eustorgio, e ammiriamo un Trittico di grande valore artistico. Eccovi qualche cenno storico ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All'interno della Basilica di Sant'Eustorgio, sul fianco destro, si può ammirare la Cappella Brivio. Cappella gentilizia di forme rinascimentali fatta edificare nel 1484 dalla famiglia Brivio, cui appartenevano importanti feudatari e magistrati della corte di Ludovico il Moro. Sulla parte di fondo della cappella vi è un trittico di Ambrogio da Fossano detto il Bergognone, databile, come viene suggerito dai documenti, allo scorcio del Quattrocento e rappresentante una Madonna col Bambino, san Giacomo e Sant'Enrico. In origine le tavole erano probabilmente racchiuse in una ricca cornice architettonica lignea. Le quattro tavolette, raffiguranti San Giovanni Battista, San Sebastiano, Santa Caterina e Sant'Alessandro, oggi collocate con un criterio del tutto arbitrario sotto le tavole laterali del registro principale erano in origine poste in corrispondenza delle quattro colonnine verticali della cornice che dividevano le tre tavole.
