@ Vittorio this is my first woodpecker and I hope it is the first of a long series! During attempts to make this shot I realized how much these animals are suspicious ... @Vittorio si questo è il mio primo picchio e spero che sia il primo di una lunga serie! Durante i tentativi per fare questo scatto mi sono reso conto di quanto sospettosi siano questi animali... Osservandoli dove si posano di solito è facile attenderli, prima o poi arrivano, ma quando sono li non ti devi far prendere dall'emozione e mantenere il sangue freddo, al primo lieve movimento se ne sono già andati! 
@Alessio la dominante rossa c'è ma è corretta, la foto è stata scattata alle prime luci del mattino e la calda luce rossa illuminava il soggetto... La foto è naturale così come l'ho vista io dal vero!
